30 Best Bible Verses for January that will Bless Your New Year

By: Marcus Carter

There is an old saying that “God’s favorite letters are R&E.” The whole Bible uses those two letters, “R&E”—redo, repeat, restart, renew, refresh etc. these words perfectly encapsulate the Bible. God is all about “second chances!” Grace, renewal, repentance, restoration, but first, we must die! The RE comes from the dying. In John 12:24 Jesus explains, “…unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.” The old us must die for the new us to thrive!

But “R & E” is only the half of it! “RE” is nothing if it does not come with a change. No matter how many times we REDO, RENEW or REDEDICATE, if we never committed to turn away from what caused us to fall, the RE doesn’t matter. That is where the “ER” comes in. It is not about what you do; it is about what you become. “ER” can change someone who loves into a lover. Someone who gives into a giver. Someone who forgives into a forgiver. Someone who believes, into a believer. Someone who follows into a follower. God wants a relationship and not a religion. He reveals the record of our wrongs, and we must recognize our need for Him, repent and then rejoice because Jesus came to reconcile us to God. And whoever receives Him is rescued and resurrected with the Father when we die. He will give us the “RE,” and we shall become “ER.”

This year, celebrate God’s grace and mercy. His unending desire to give us a second chance. In this post, I share 30 Best Bible Verses for January that will Bless Your New Year so that you remember God’s grace and mercy and carry it with you this year.

"These pens and highlighters are terrific! No bleed-through on the pages of my Bible, which is super important to me. The ink in the colored pens is dark enough to be easily read yet it doesn't overpower the printed words.

The highlighters are surprisingly smooth. There absolutely no drag when used. The darkest color is blue, but it doesn't obscure the print. A great purchase!"

"Very pleased with the product. I was quite excited to see all the wonderful designs, colors and ideas. I am not one to journal in my Bible, I always thought it makes a Bible look too messy (but I'm seeing it now as such a nice concept that I may try with some light touch designs). I actually bought the book for ideas for my prayer journals and devotionals. I am not disappointed at all. The guides, the instructions and ideas are well laid out and for someone like me who loves doodling or someone who is stuck for ideas, this will definitely help. The personal stories are great too. I highly recommend this book."
